Alvena L. Snoozy was born July 5, 1925 in Lennox, SD to parents Tilly and Albert Bultena. She died September 20, 2011 at Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, MN at the age of 86 years. Alvena married Hugh Snoozy on May26, 1950. The couple made their home in Centerville, SD where they raised their four children. Alvena enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and gardening. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Betty Jones of Fairmont, MN; Beverly Schnee and husband Paul of Los Angeles, CA; Debra Rowe and husband Tom of Arvada, CO; and Scott Snoozy and wife Elena of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren, Dr. Mackenzie Reberg and husband Alex of Jackson, MN; Courtney Snoozy, Ashley Snoozy, Patrick Szymanski, Olesya Abukina and Roza Edblom all of Sioux Falls; sister Loretta Trouten of Sioux Falls; brother Ronnie Bultena of Sioux Falls; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hugh, and her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Friday, September 23, 2011 at Wass Funeral Home in Centerville with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, rural Centerville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
